True rural experience is the best way to describe what to expect from this tour. We will travel through mountainous area with amazing landscape of valleys, hills and plateaus. This tour is a perfect mix of history, geography and typical Serbian lifestyle. Rivers, mountains, forests and viewpoints, all of that is mixed in a perfect harmony. Along the way we will stop to visit authentic ethno village where they prepare food in a traditional way, fresh vegetables, smoked meat, many kinds of dairy products that are made by locals from that neighborhood. Wooden cottages are famous for that region and there is one special open-air museum Sirogojno which is a perfect scenery to try "Šumadija tea" with mountain herbs and rakija. Some of the most beautiful caves are in this area and we will visit some of them. Stopića cave is first cave that we will see with famous cave baths that were carved by nature for thousands of years. Nature granted this area with another jewel, which is Gostilje waterfall with long slaps that go down for tens of meters. We will spend the night in a house with amazing view towards the lake from where we will share many stories while we drink rakija and enjoy night sky full of stars. In the morning we will head down to the Uvac Lake and have a boat ride on its gorgeous curved meanders. We will have a chance to see endangered specie of white griffon vultures that will make our ride unforgettable and is a perfect spot to be for bird lovers. At one point we will have a hike to the viewpoint which looks over the lake and for sure it will be candidate for your new profile photo on your social networks. People call it Million Dollar View for a good reason. To cool off from the hike, we will visit ‘’Ledena pećina’’ or Ice cave translated and explore it with torches following the path into the dark. This tour is perfect way to have a city break and run away from city commotion and chaos and to stop for a moment and just enjoy life and nature.
Word of advice: at one point of our boat ride, we will stop and head for a viewpoint at the top of a mountain, which will take about 30-45 minutes of climbing. Please bring appropriate shoes, water & sunscreen during hot months, maybe put in some hat. Also, "Ledena pecina" (or Ice cave) is called that way for a reason, so make sure you take something with long sleeves as well :)
