We are taking you seven centuries back in time, in the years of the great Prince Lazar, his wife Milica, and their capital Krusevac. The spiritual guard of this city is the church Lazarica, the pearl of 14th-century architecture. It hides the stories of the fallen Serbian Empire, the arrival of Ottomans in the Balkan lands, and the struggle of Serbs to preserve their identity.

Following the love story between Milica and Lazar we will visit the monastery Ljubostinja – one of the most beautiful constructions of the 14th century which symbolizes the first meeting between future spouses and his lost life in the Kosovo battle in 1389.

For history lovers, Monastery Zica will be a true delight to visit. The first Serbian Patriarchate, built in the early 13th century, place where seven Serbian kings were crowned – starting from the first Serbian royal family Nemanjici.

History has been played in this region and seeing the monument of the Serbian soldier who fell for freedom in Balkan wars and WWI will be one more step in revealing the stories of defending from the occupiers and creating the kingdom of Yugoslavia.

We’ll take a short break in the Serbian biggest spa Vrnjacka Banja to enjoy the fresh air and its relaxing atmosphere.

We will finish the tour in the 20th century by giving our respect to innocent victims of WWII – Sumarice Memorial Park in Kragujevac – Monuments within the park include the monument to the murdered schoolchildren and their teachers – the “Interrupted Flight”, the “One hundred for one” monument. 21 October Museum, dedicated to this tragic event.

If you are into history, this is a perfect tour for you.
