Free Zemun Walking Tour
A city in a city!
Zemun was a separate town that was absorbed into Belgrade in 1934. It lies on the right bank of the Danube River, upstream from downtown Belgrade. Walk through the old part of today’s Belgrade, but bear in mind that Zemun has a completely different history. Walk through the modern wide boulevards, and old narrow streets and enjoy the view from the Gardos hill where Millennium Tower is.
Find out why the settlement was made here in the neolithic. In ancient times, the Celtic and Roman settlement was known as Taurunum.
